Whats the coolest farm you can solo with puppet strings as a monk or druid? Anything that can drop a high plat item is probably best, but creative faction manipulations are cool too. Like are there quests I can complete that I normally wouldnt be able to besides the OT Hammer? Cheers.

I love the contrast of how one dude has prepped for soloing Fungis while another player is reduced to begging (seems to forgot about food).

I will try that when i finally get my monk to 60, pending primal. Anyone know other cool applications? Also RIP toxigen acct. :(

My roommate and I did all sorts of things with Strings before they were nerfed. Many hate minis (these were a breeze to solo back then - /target Magi, click Abashi's, FD when you see the train reaching you, hit sneak, wait for everything to turn and the mini to stand there rebuffing, charm any random ass mob, push interrupt, easy peasy)

Kromzek Captain (scout charisa) on my druid using a charmed pirate. Took Ro's Breath and a Reaper, maybe one Soulfire click.

Stomples or whatever in PoM on my cleric.

I soloed fungi king on Yumyum (monk) years before Kelz did it, but I did it a totally different way (island, slowstone amber, wort pots). Liia again though has the most impressive solo fungi king kill, doing it on an enchanter without any trickery.

Liia (cleric) soloed chardok queen using strings, earthen axe, ro's breath, and donal's legs spam.

Trioing Vaniki before he had Soul Devour proc added. Could've duoed it probably (shm/mnk) if we both had Soulfires and he spawned in the right spot.

Hell, I soloed the Kael arena a lot on my druid before they nerfed Fear. Didn't even need strings for that. But now that you can't fear the wolf on breaks you need to duo it. Same goes for duoing Plane of Fear for leveling necro/druid/enchanter. Be bound at north wall, charm Irak and a Silverback, ensnare and fear.

Strings were a lot of fun, the recharge nerf was maybe the biggest bummer nerf for me in the games history because I own like 7 pairs of them and now they're pretty worthless.

There was a small community of us competing to kill things with the smallest number of people in early Velious. People like Liia, Raev, Yumyum, Nyclin, etc. It was good times.
