New to P99, green, dorf rogue

Just started P99, haven't played EQ in probably 20 years, hah. I have a lvl5 dwarf rogue, Kildrum, on green. I'm seeing a whole lot of nothing happening in and around Kaladim, and some folk heading through bb here and there. Where should I be working towards to find groups/people? And is it worth saving chippies and silk to sell for early plat?

Welcome Peebs. I think it's hard to find groups now until your early teens at least, then it gets easier the higher you go. You'll definitely find the most people if you get a ride to WC, a bind in freeport and level up around the commonlands getting buffs from players in the tunnel. If you do /who all dial you can message anyone in that guild and they'll be happy to port a new player and throw you some buffs I'm sure. Happy grinding.

I’m sometimes finding others at orc hill or crushbone but it can be sparse. West Commonlands may be a good port of call.

The good news is you're in one of the better starting areas for finding people near you without traversing the whole world. Orc Hill into Crushbone in Gfay are popular places once you knock out the first 3-4 levels right outside the kaladim entrance.

From there Unrest is popular and you can stay all the way until 40 or trek over to mistmoore in the 30-40 range.
