Picklock skill and Citymist

Please help me understand picklock skill, skill caps and citymist.

In Citymist with picklock skill of 200 and level 46 rogue. Can't open the castle door. I had thought the skill cap was 200. Maybe I'm wrong.

I decided to try to level pick lock a few more. Skill is now 218 at L46. BUT the skill box still says 200 and the 200 is red. I haven't been back to city of mist since getting the new pick lock skill. I'd rather not have to make a few trips to test pick lock. So i have the following questions:

1) Why is pick lock skill RED 200 in the skill window. Yet my last skillup said 218

2) What is needed to open the castle door in city of mist?

3) Do I need mechanized lock picks to do it currently?

Sorry for the newbish questions and thanks for any help.

What you see in the skill window is correct. Red values are the classic skill caps enforced over the titanium client.

201 skill will open it(need to be 51), mechanical lockpicks should let you at your lvl, but i'm just assuming, never used them.

Excuse my ignorance but cant a rogue go to befallen and train his open lock still to max on the first locked door? I thought i heard that any lock will give you skill ups. Sorta sounds like crap though so i cant be too sure.

Yes, can skill up in Befallen. No clue what that has to do with the above though.

And from what I'm gathering, you need unmod'd 201+ for city of mist. I.e. 51+

There's also a door in East Freeport that works post about 130? It's part of the quest line for the burning rapier.
