Enchanter : Faster to solo?

I have a 56 chanter and was just charm killing in Karnors, watching the xp trickle.

Then got invited into a full group, which was FUN, but the xp seemed far less.. no matter how fast we could pull.

Is it better, in terms of time (not fun) to solo charm kill your way to 60? Has anyone done the math on it?

solo will always be better if you can pilot it efficiently but theres less room for error

if you're tired of having to kill each charm pet / juggle HPs and stuff, just find a duo

cleric / necro / druid / paladin / all make good duos, bard / shaman if you're desperate

necro in undead areas (CoM, HS, KC), could bring a druid to chardok with you, paladin is sleeper good and cleric is the tried-and-true

Get your howling stones key, start at basement(drop down, safe spot on rocks). Then finish 58 and 59 in north.
If north is taken, city of mist 3rd floor.(no mobs to mana tap)

Yeah the best xp potential is definitely solo but probably for most people a duo or small group is ideal. You don't even have to do the math, in a full group you're splitting the exp so many ways it's not even close.

HS with a necro is the min/max exp approach...absolute bonkers duo

dont sleep on taking a confident druid to chardok - they can charm the dogs and you charm everything else

and ofc can always take a cleric to sebilis and go do NG, disco, or a part of ABC

or you can solo in velks as non-kos in wolf form...fantastic ZEM and dont let the aoe bards bully you...just boon up to the top at the crystal eyes safe hall...with any luck frenzy might be open....dogs at 56 might be a bit tricky so i wouldnt drop into the pit until 58 (bedlam)

^^ Werewolf not wolf, plus collaboration makes you dubious. Upper dog's was a butt clencher at 58 but it was fun nonetheless. At that level tho getting coth to PoM was best money spent, rat maze made 58.5-60 fly by.

Once you hit 55+ Karnors is not good for xp unless you do the basement. Even then, there are better options. Velks was great as a chanter I was able to solo in the entry room and up the ramps all the way through 60. I still did small groups there at times and was better xp than Kanors all the way. Howling stones I've done but its more challenging and CRs are a pain. For Seb grouping is more my thing there. I still get the odd green there that will crit resist me at 255 cha. For city of mist 2nd floor and above its still not horrible xp but in the higher 50s you will notice a lot of greens. Something that wasn't mentioned here before is the neriak Ogre/troll bar. Over in the ogre & troll area of neriak you can find a building with 4 ogre & trolls on the first floor and a 5th up on the 2nd. Easily done solo and there's the neriak city xp bonus. Not as good as a dungeon but its better than most outdoor zones. Geos in wakening lands is also an easy solo spot all the way to 60 although the xp did die down some by 58. My favs were velks and seb when I could find a group for the excitement. At 55+ and especially 58+ you may find solo to just be the best option though there are certain exceptions but by and far solo will be better than Karnors. Velks I did a few 2-4 man groups and the xp moved pretty good. You may move slower solo but for the time involved you'll mostly be at a higher xp gain than grouping if we're talking karnors. In velks and seb you may gain more by the sheer number of mobs you go through in a group. That all depends on how good the group is.

Are bear pits good for a chanter too, due to ZEM? I spent a lot of time there with my druid.

Thanks for all the other suggestions!

I'm sure they are. Most druids did them because of limited other options. If you're an enchanter, you have plenty of options that are easier to recover in, closer to ports, and not moving a bind spot.

No exp myself there but in an old tecmos video he talks about how not worth it that camp is. Bears have craptons of HP and you can't use theft of thought on anything.
