Project 1999 - Hiding helmet

Is it possible to keep the "Hide player helmet" option saved? Whenever I load into a new zone or into the game for the first time, my helmet is shown again and I have to check/uncheck the "Hide player helmet" option in the display options. I ended up removing my helmet but would like to wear one eventually.

If there's a way I can set this manually in an INI file that would be perfect.

I did set eqgame to run as administrator and it still didn't save. My other options *do* get saved just not this one.
