Starting fresh from blue server
 

What class would you recommend? I’m starting fresh so I won’t have anything early on.

Enchanter? Cleric? Shaman? Druid? Magician?

I’m thinking about starting out as a Druid first so I can port for plat to gear up quicker.

Well, I just did that and I chose cleric, but that's because that's what I wanted as my long-term main character. It's also easy to level up without much gear if you stick to healing in groups, and easy to get a mix of bronze and chain in unrest.

I went druid with my first character on Blue about a year ago, and that's how I voted. Great mobility, doesn't need much gear, lots of flexibility, great mid-level earner with ports.

I probably would have went Necromancer. But since you didn't include that option, it's Druid all the way.

mage is nice and ez mode without much gear. druid is ideal on a new server

shaman. was my first toon on green and it paid dividends. shaman always wanted in group. at 60 is a solo machine. my awfully geared 60 shaman can solo stuff that ToV geared classes cant

depends on your skill level

as far as solo farming / plat generation goes:

enc > shaman > druid (ports) > mage > cleric

but the shaman takes a long time to get there

Why are you posting that you are starting on the blue server in the green server forums? :confused:

I misread- I'm sorry! That being said, why are you shrinking your options to just those classes? Preference?

preference mainly... i wanted to add Wizard/Necro to the mix but im not able to edit the post.


It would be rough to start as a tank or hybird class with no gear or plat.

I solo 90% of the time as well so thats another reason for the classes i picked.
