Your gate is too unstable, and collapses

The rate this happens is not classic. It happens way too often and the bug was introduced around the same time they messed up the spell text, which was a recent patch. I get 2-3 collapses a day when this was more like a once a month occurrence on live.

Barely ever happens. You are getting unlucky.

It happened to me once when I used a 1,000 platinum Gate potion, though. :mad:
