Because in late stage Everquest with nothing but time and content locked it turns out that an army of wizards with bane can be very powerful.

I doubt they thought that far ahead but pretty sure 100 Dragonbane wizards was never intended for velious-era lol

Because people finally remembered that wizards are useful on raids, the dragonbane nuke is ridiculously good

Should be draftable.

i remember a spreadsheet with like a hundred fuckin wizard alts on it when i had to get mine.
