Back after 2 years, game lag lags lagging laggy
 

I was unable to search the forums for the word "Lag" because it's too short a word apparently.

I started playing again after a couple of years, same Windows 10 system.

The crashes are worse, and the lag is WAY worse. My speedtest checks out fine so it seems to be the P99 client.

I don't mean low framerate, I mean when I'm fighting a mob and they run, the mob reappears somewhere else after a 5 second delay. Same with casting spells etc. there is a big delay.

Any known fix for this?

could be network issue? do a trace route to the server and see if you loosing packets

I had a similar issue. I quit playing in 2019 to play Classic WoW, then came back in December and EQ was super laggy. Basically unplayable. I ended up installing it on my way worse laptop and it runs fine, I never figured out why my better PC was lagging so bad (except that it’s kindof old). No other games lag at all, but p1999 is super bad. Just haven’t been playing on it. I play on my laptop because it plays way smoother. Even tried a fresh reboot and install. No dice. Dunno man.
