Twinking for 6K
 

I haven't played a melee class since my old warrior back on live during Luclin era. I'd like to try one, but I don't have the plat for the normal suggestions for gearing an alt (fungi, etc.)

Is it possible to gear up, say, a pally or SK for around 6k? If so, what gear should I be looking at?

Set of banded armour, 2x fire emerald wedding rings, silver chitin hand wraps and the weapon that suits your fashion/budget/market conditions.

Str earrings and weight reducing bags.

I’ve been leveling an SK in a trio. Now level 46. We started with nothing, but during the teens there was some downtime where I grinded out some plat for a basic set.

You can get a full suit of Crustacean Shell Armor minus the gauntlets. That’s about 800-1000. SCHW for 1500. Green Jade Halberd for 450. 2 Orc Fang Earrings for 400. 2 Velium Fire Wedding Rings for 850. Mask of Wurms 125. Glowing Bone Collar 100. Hooded Black Cloak 500. Black Alloy Girdle 50. Crested Spaulders 75. Sandwich of Foul Smelling Herbs 400.

That’s about 5300.

haste gloves + jade mace (or any fast 10 damage weapon)

then focus on +hp items

Pretty easy on blue since stuff is cheaper. I’d use a poison wind censor or similar fast 2h weapon with banded armor l, SCHW, and hp rings to like 30. Get a solid ratio 2h 30+ and maybe invest in a iksar ceremonial bp since 5hp/tick is helpful.

Paladins have it easy at 45 with the DW helm. Hp recovery on a sk is tougher. I’d keep to fearing once stuff starts hitting hard.
