Well technically you didnt, as they kinda walked back the merge and said they listened to feedback and will see how people feel about a merge when the time comes.

If they never recycle green what's the point of all their timeline specific patching infrastructure they worked so hard on? They gonna roll out a 3rd server to split the every dwindling classic eq community even more? Merge it up.

Did they ever claim 100% that it was happening or was it a soft maybe?

Merger needs to happen, make it so!

They never confirmed the merge would happen. As others have already said they mentioned merging and then walked it back and said they would see.

My guess is it will only happen if they do another fresh server and I don't anticipate that for a while, if at all.
