Warrior Kick, 55+ stun
At level 55, warriors gain a chance to perform a stun with their kick. Does this have any implications for aggro generation?
Curious to know this if I'm ever in a tanking situation where I have a chance of taking a hard-hitting riposte. Thank you. |
Doesn’t seem to do any extra aggro.
Melee stuns were bugged in classic (and long after) to not generate the additional aggro they were intended to. Sorry this doesn't help. |
No extra aggro. It’s an extra button to press “just because” on most mobs. On caster mobs it can be quite useful.
Man though … if it had even half the aggro of a melee weapon stun proc … that’d be sweet. |
Not the answer that I was hoping for, but good to know for sure. Jimjam, if you have any source regarding the melee stuns being intended to aggro, I'd be curious to take a look.
The stun component seems to hit just as often as not. Are there any firm numbers about the proc chance? |
If the mob is casting and you kick and the kick hits, my experience is it always interrupts anything that can be interrupted/stunned.
Exceptions are like stun immune giants in Kael etc that can only be interrupted with push. |

But let’s be honest, when playing a warrior there really aren’t that many buttons to push. Other than positioning a mob and being ready to taunt … having that extra button to HULK SMASH sure does make me feel like a real avenger. I try not to just spam bang it though if the mob is a caster … especially if said caster is a cleric trying to heal itself or a Krup wizard trying to melt my face off. But yeah if a 55+ kick generated full stun hate it would be a lot more useful. Even if it had like a 40 second refresh timer. It certainly would make holding aggro easier. |
