Best Druid Pet in Chardok

My gf and I will be hunting in Chardok tonight as a druid/cleric duo. What is the best animal in the zone a druid can charm (that doesn't summon)?

Just start clearing in w/ the starter wolves and as you move deeper, the doggos will become higher and higher level.

What level is the druid?
