Farming Crystalline Silk...
 

I need to start farming Crystalline Silk to level up Tailoring.

As an under-geared, Lvl. 35 Druid, can I farm them effectively in the Crystal Caverns?

Or should I stick to crystal spiders in Thurgadin?

you can probably kill them, individually. but it wouldn't be efficient for farming silk until you are higher level and can plow through them faster, if you are solo that is. if you have a partner though they are likely good experience and silk for your level.

As a mage most of the spiders were blue or green at 45, and I still consider myself to have powered through 45 in there.

As a 35 druid you're under leveled for that.

Unfortunately the 30s are quite low for most Velious content including lower CC...however you could do some good work if you roll in with a full group or a much higher level friend to help you. :cool:

I'd recommend selling ports and buying the silk you need either in EC tunnel or popping into Velks entrance and auctioning. Going to CC at 35 to farm them is going to be slow and dangerous.

I would also recommend waiting on leveling tradeskills until you're higher and also you have 255 WIS since your skill up chances are determined by that. The difference in getting a skill up is twice as likely at 255 than it is at 140. Tailoring is a huge plat dump. You will spend 200k+ to get to 250. All Velious combines are 335 trivial so they are a 95% fail rate until 206 when you start gaining 1% success chance per skill up. You won't make a profit on a combine until probably around 235-240 skill level. It's brutal.
