A dream 20 years in the making...

Hey howdy hey everyone! I'm Jim, aka NuctFutz, and I'm super excited to be playing EQ as it was back when I first set eyes I it as an 8th grader. My best friend at the time played EQ with his brother and father and I was always so envious of that dynamic. Unfortunately, I my family was waaaaay bellow the poverty line so I never got the chance to play the game myself except for a few brief moments while at my friends house.

23 years later and I've got a beast of a pc that'll run the latest games with the preemo graphics and yet I the first game I wanted to download was Everquest. I can't begin to describe my excitement! Hopefully, you all with forgive me for any blunders I make going forward - I'm sure to need help with just about everything - but I promise to be a positive part of this community!

I'm currently running an Orge Warrior on Green. Absolutely enjoying myself so far.

Hello and welcome!

It feels crazy to finally get to play a game from eons past: I've been there myself many times. Under your circumstances, it's got to be especially wild. Great to see you fulfilling this dream.

I, too, am using a big rig of a PC this a toaster game... happily!

Welcome back! Awesome that you're finally able to dedicate the time required for this game to reveal its layers. Goes to show just how strong of an impression it left on players after all this time. Back in 1999, I never got beyond level 20 so the majority of the zones were completely new to me when starting out here. Suffice to say, the nostalgia would have worn off by now if the game itself didn't hold up.
