I liked it until it became the Matrix again. If it had just been Neo finding out he was delusional and had a fantasy about Trinity that never happened it would have been a great movie. It should have just continued with his slide into insanity as he realizes his life with Trinity never happened. Eventually he jumps off the building but no one is there to stop him and he plunges towards the ground screaming and the movie ends just before the impact. The audience is left wondering if he died and the whole thing was his delusional and eventual suicide or if he "self substantiates" as in the Animatrix when the kid jumps off a building and wakes up out of the Matrix instead of dying. I also had hopes when he and Trinity jumped off the building they would at least self substantiate but of course nothing ever references the Animatrix because it's actually better than all of the Matrix movies themselves.
