PLATFORM That Takes You to Boat In Erudin Is Bugged/Broken

I am creating another thread with the correct title in it for this issue.

The platform that is supposed to take you to and from the boat in Erudin does not move. The boat works fine, but you cannot get to the boat. The only alternative is to jump off of the boat and swim to the docks if you are coming to Erudin. If you are heading from Erudin.....well, good luck...there is a way, but it requires a lot of patience, swimming, location accuracy and shark dodging.

Please fix! This has been broken for over a week now!

Here is the link to the original post about this issue. Unfortunately, the creator titled it incorrectly:

Thank you!

I'd question the necessity of a second thread; but then again, it's been nearly 2 weeks since the issue was first brought up on the forums without an official acknowledgement that there even is an issue. /shrug

We needed a 2nd thread because after two weeks, one developer looked at it, went on the boat (because that's what the title in the subject line says is broke) and then dismissed it.

I figured if I started a new thread with the correct bug in the subject line, someone may look at it and fix it.

This thread is needed. It's the platform that is borked, NOT the boat.

I'd love an ETA for this. I have a toon stuck in Erudin and I don't want to have to bug the GMs again if at all possible.

The devs said you need to swim to around -400 -1700, wait for the boat, and hop onto it when it arrives by swimming into it - this is a temporary workaround. (Best to aim for the mast.)

This is hands-down the biggest bug I've ever come across on P1999, since it breaks the game sooooo badly.

Curious as to why not one dev has given a response about this yet (other than trying to convince themselves this monstrous bug doesn't exist... how embarrassing). Hope you fellas aren't honestly stumped!! :/

The dev's didn't say that. another player did. And the thread did state after we discovered the boat does come (out of sight from the dock) that its the shuttle to the boat that isn't working. Just takes them reading the thread is all to find out what the issue is.

Just in case there is still a misunderstanding, this:
http://www.project1999.org/forums/at...1&d=1307638714
is what we are referring to. It has been stuck for nearly 2 weeks and has resulted in atleast 3 people leaving p99 (from posts in previous thread):(

It would probably be best if updates from other players on this issue used the above photo in their post, this photo is located at:
http://www.project1999.org/forums/at...1&d=1307638714
to avoid any future misunderstanding (as found in previous thread) :(

Ok. I boarded the boat in South Qeynos AND timed the route. Results as below.

Boat docking in Qeynos (starting point):
00 mins 00.00 secs

Boat Zoned into Erud's Crossing:
01 mins 39.60 secs
arrival at dock:
03 mins 34.16 secs

Boat Zoned into Erudin
06 mins 44.69 secs
arrival at dock point:
07 mins 45.22 secs
(people waiting on shuttle at the time report it did not move, and I visually confirmed shuttle did NOT dock with boat)

Boat Zoned into Erud's Crossing:
09 mins 22.13 secs
arrival at dock:
11 mins 56.84 secs

Boat Zoned into Qeynos:
14 mins 29.07 secs
arrival at dock:
15 mins 26.37 secs

So, the boat cycles it's entire route in 15 minutes 26.37 seconds (that's from Dock to Dock)

One person on the shuttle reported his waiting time at 75 minutes. Assuming his measurement is exact, this would mean the boat had cycled it's route 4.86 times.

In short: the shuttle IS broken.

Screen shots of timing and the shuttle NOT docking with the boat available upon request.
