Pvp shaman: troll or ogre?

So for pvp server which do you think is best and why?

And let’s do vanilla era vs post vanilla

Ogre = happy cuddly shaman
Troll = grumpy bitey shaman

Troll can have 70 charisma. 3 more points to lure u in for bities.

Ogre can have 67 starting charisma and makes up for it with extra personality.

Barb shamans can start with 85 charisma and get to live it up in Halas with a cigar shop :p

-20 fr vs dreaded druids feels super bad.

Ogres live closer to Lake Rathe

Trolls live closer to S Ro

My feelings is that in vanilla the neg 20 fire resist is pretty terrible, since all mortal caster enemies have strong fire spells and resist gear is just not that plentiful. Giving ogres the edge

Kunark + the neg 20 fire resist is less important, which may give trolls the edge in pvp because in pvp a few ticks of superior hp regen can make just that little difference and the stun resist is less impactful.

I would go barb. Ogre and troll look horrible in chain as shamans.

Besides the minor loss of racial bonuses associated with barb (they do get plus 20 or 10 cold resist which is cool)

The worst part about them is having to faction up to use the more convenient barbarian training / supplies locations in grobb or oggok.

Trying to stay based around halas is not impossible but would slow you down.

I guess if the definitely guaranteed red 2.0 server has tiered level caps to make the gameplay actually good instead of a race to level 50, a barbarian is a solid choice. If there is any race to the top aspect at all, the barb would hold you back a lot.

There's always pickled frog legs for raising oggok faction.

Easier on a barbarian warrior with Zek God. Think barb shm is tribunal only.

The cool thing about rathe mnts tho is everyone? Pretty much can buy gems there. So banking isn't a huge issue. Mostly just spells. Some are in Oasis.

Not sure if u can buy your dots from the troll guy in kunark.

It is nice tho to be bound in grobb. Big plus there to trolls and ogres. Also ez access to gatorsmash, 30/70 i think. Without alts. Which is absolutely sick in vanilla.

If u can live with being giant...ogre.

Barb is totally viable.

Sounds like troll isn't for u.

gatorsmash is like the best item in vanilla basically its worth being a race / class combo that can use that because its the best pvp item till kunark in the game.

But don't talk about it.

Guess you can't go too wrong since all shaman races are big boys with their own advantages.
