where to bind
 

I have created and deleted my char 5 times.
I cannot bind to my starting point.
When I get killed, I respawn in a different zone.
Lose everything. Can NOT get anywhere. Have tried to bind @ 'Soulbinder'. not working.
HELP!!!!

When you make a character you'll spawn in your starting city, but your bind point is usually going to be just outside the gates in most cases.

Sounds like Freeport?

You start in East Freeport and go out into the yard to kill things. When you die, you end up in West Freeport and have no corpse

If this is what is happening, you should walk over to West Freeport instead to begin leveling. Thats the default location of where you are bound when starting in Freeport

Not that you probably have much inventory to recover at such an early stage, but a bard can track your corpse for you when you can't find it, as long as you are in the same zone as the corpse, so the bard can target you.

Soulbinder? Those don't exist on p99. Are you playing with the Titanium client on one of the 3 project1999 servers?

Sounds like a different EQ emu server.

But also sounds like freeport. I remember trying to find the west freeport gates i was like wtf is this entire different but same city?

Took a while to learn to get around freeport in olden times and even today I get goofed.

the command your looking for is /charinfo or /char or /characterinfo this will list what zone you are bound in

if you are in a zone and have nothing targeted and type /corpse by itself it will tell you if you have corpses in zone

if it's been a really long time like a week offline your corpse will probably show up in EC or a gm will need to summon it there

and ya like the above u start bound in a newbie zone and it's often not the zone you initially go into the game in

a level 1 necro or level 5 bard can help you find your corpse too

also a bone chipped rod which i don't think are on vendors but u sometimes can get them from ppl in ec or someone has a spare in the bank they'd part with

you need to be near a city and have another level 12 bind you unless you can cast 'bind affinity' there are no soulbinders on p99
