Everquest: Windows - Application Error , Need Help
 

every time i try to start P99 this error message appears on my Laptop

The instruction at 0x0000000077CAB902 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000014. The memory could not be read. Click on ok to terminate the program.

anyone know what i could do about it so i can play on my laptop

First easy thing to try would be to just rename or remove your current eqclient.ini file, especially if you just copied your p99 folder from one computer to another.

I'm getting this message as well. I tried to fiddle wth the eqclient ini resolution settings with no success. I'm running it in XP SP3 compatibility mode and as administrator.

Any other suggestions?

It has been working fine for months and was working fine the last time I played a couple of days ago. I guess this is punishment for taking a few days off, hehe.

Re-Run the OptionsEditor.exe, and select some settings and save just to reinitialise things. You will be able to change your settings ingame for stuff like screen res etc.

What that error is saying is that the game is writing an instruction to a specific memory address ( RAM ) and that when it reads that address, it cannot do so.
