Cazel no longer soloable as Enchanter :[

Cazel is a 51 epic quest mob in Oasis. A strategy for killing him is to haste and give torches to two NPCs (Gadallion and Inkeep Tizzy) and charm the handsome sand giant, sending him to his doom against these two strong and independent women.

However now, these women are too darn independent to be charmed and resist 100% of the time (when did the become uncharmable??). Without the ability to charm them... no haste or torches. Cazel regains around 350 HP a tick (equal to about 15 fungi tunics).

Has anyone found a way around it?

Yes, although it was terribly frustrating and not worth doing.

Charm Cazel and send him at the dwarf near SRo, Taldrik Stumpystout. When Cazel gets really low, rapture the dwarf and immediately GGR then proceed to nuke.

The problem is, the dwarf hits really hard, he chunks Cazel for 7-8% of his hp sometimes. Couple this with crappy enchanter nukes that don't beat his regen, you'll need some luck on the regen tick and the dwarfs hits. If he's not below 5% on the break, you're likely going to fail. If he's below 5% and gets the regen tick almost immediately, you're likely going to fail. It's difficult to time this because as mentioned before, the dwarf hits hard and can just outright kill him when you're trying to get him that low, on top of trying to time the break behind a rapture cast.

If you use a clicky or two, like dump an Ivandyr's Hoop into him on the break, or have a pre-hasted/torched aqua goblin parked beside him to wand of allure on your break to help offset the regen, it wouldn't be too difficult. But really, just get one 50+ DPS to help you nuke him down when you break and you'll be fine.

I know rabies stops player regen. Do disease effects/DoTs have an impact on NPC regen? Is there an NPC in zone you could send Cazel at that casts disease?

rabies is a long duration 1 damage dot giving off the illusion of stopping player regen
but it just does 1 damage a tick
