Widescreen 2560X1080 camera issues
 

Hi guys!

Been away for a while and want to return to fool around a bit as usual and since I got a new Monitor I tried simply setting the ini file to 2560x1080 to change the resolution.

What happens is that the game camera now is so close that on the login screen I cant see my name and location text (camera seems zoomed) and ingame the same happens, camera is just too close to the character.

I was wondering if any of you knows a way to keep camera focus which is normal in 1920x1080 resolutions in the 2560x1080 setup?

I also remember a very old thread with people changing the aspect of the game camera to emulate even the old original eq smallbox! They used a /command to do so and I remember it making the game show you the world in a box and making black bars appear to the sides as well.

So after wasting some hours looking and not finding anything or a way to alter the camera to conform to the new resolution was wondering if anyone else plays in these non standard resolutions?

TLDR: Game camera works normally in 16:9 but with a new monitor camera is badly set in 21:9, anyone has experiences with this and how to fix it?

So TIL there is no Widescreen in EQ, just less space "seen" on a Widescreen :eek:
