Is Tunare Initiate Symbol pre-Velious?
 

Hi all. Larik V'zole was fixed/added in today's patch. After some waiting I killed him, the courier, and got my Disciple Symbol of Tunare.

I then went hunting for the pieces of the third quest in the series, the Warden Symbol of Tunare. I have had Thick Caustic Fluid since early classic days (I presume a small oversight), and Yeolarn Bronzeleaf allows you to start the third part since before today's fix, but some of the items appear not to drop. Namely, White Hellebore and Pouch of Red Dust.

Doing some cursory research (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/...0&p=2#comments) the earliest comments on this item are from Velious era, with comments for the third part matching up similarly to that time (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/...4&p=3#comments).

Finally, I looked back at comments for the first part to find that everything starts at April 2001 for this quest (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/...4&p=2#comments).

These are all the earliest traces I could find that reference the items, let alone the quest. So unless I am misunderstanding something, this quest is from start to finish a Velious era quest.

Anyone have any insight?

Bumping this to update after Green Velious launch: Pouch of Red Dust is not dropping, but the quest is still partially implemented. The wiki lists the line as Kunark era.

Hi fellow,

I completed the first and 2nd part of the quest about 6 weeks ago on Green (pre Velious).

I have not seen Thick Caustic Fluid drop in Unrest even I made certainly over 5 levels there in the basement. In MistMoore Castle I've seen about 40-50 dark offerers go down. Nada.

Can anyone fix it please?

If they turned this item off they didn't also clear banks. I still have mine.

This part of the quest may have been added later in velious (March 2001 patch). If you find evidence of an earlier time, please post.

I'm sure that explains it as my memory doesn't reach that long time back!

Sorry for the off-topic and sorry if this question has been asked a million time, I apologize!!... but is there a page where I can sort of see where we are standing in Green and ideally what had been announced by Sony back in the days so I could look it up when I can complete the quest (and perhaps other things)?

Or more concrete when is March 2001 on Green? :-)
Or when does the Warrens open? If I could look such things up myself that would be great.
