Easiest way to find research materials?

My mage is now 24 and needs to research the new fire pet, but I'm at a loss as to how I'm supposed to get the materials. Do you usually just WTB in various zones (EC tunnel?) until you find both components? Seems like it would take ages and ages (unless they sell for more than I thought). The materials are Words of Dimension and Jade Shard, for reference.

Run around to popular post dungeon sell spots and go merchant diving.

It helps if you have a druid or a wizard or know someone who is willing to drag you around.

You can search the EC tunnel section of these forums to see if anyone is selling.

But yah, dumpster diving is usually your best bet.

If you wanna make money while you're at it, watch EC for people buying words and make a mental (or physical) note of how much they go for and which words are in demand. Then when you're out merchant diving and you see those misc enchanter, necro, and wizard research materials and know if the couple of gold/plat the merchant wants for them is a good deal or not.

Don't get too good at this though or you'll cut into my business.

In my experience mage and enchanter research materials are in demand too much.

But I've made a killing on Necro words. >:-)

PM me here on /t Aelzrith in game. I'll lend a hand.

My tip: browse vendors in mid level zones HHK, FV, OT etc.

Found almost every necro word 20-40 word there.

Greetings Kasilis

On thing to remember about dumpster diving (vendor browsing). Server going down wipes what people sold them.
