Hi guys, some fantastic news just in time for Christmas!
It turns out gear and privilege doesn't matter as much as we all once thought. Our friends in Apex, saturated in years of uncontested velious treasures and with healthy holiday numbers, appear to be struggling to defend their spot as the top PvE guild on Red99, having long lost any resemblance whatsoever to the top PvP guild. A stunning majority of recent PvP battles have consisted of steady streams of Apex deaths, and concluded in Drybone logging in to kael to /ooc his pixels after abandoning his comrades in the field the moment Apex's likelihood of success fell below 95%.
Elf analysts have discussed various theories as to why the guild with a vast gear advantage, larger numbers and more experience has so often found itself being overwhelmed by the grassroots Sanctuary spin-off that is <Perdition>. Analysts believe Perdition's grit, slow but steady progress, innovative new strategies and healthy camaraderie can be attributed to the recent change in circumstances, as well as Apex's massive stockpile of gear being highly concentrated on a handful of it's inner clique's characters, leaving the common Apex soldier lacking in both equipment and confidence in the field.
As we speak, Dozekar and other noble ToV dragons remain alive and well, and we in Perdition wish them, Apex, Sanctuary and the rest of P99 a safe and Merry Christmas! |
