Fate of Robe of Living Fungus?
 

I noticed that the bottom has dropped out of the price for a Robe of Living Fungus. Is this item due to be nerfed? If so will existing items be nerfed or just future items?

Nobody actually knows. I asked Hobby about it last night and he was basically sound and reiterated the fact that even if he did know, devs can't actually say.

Pretty sure they're not getting nerfed for at the very least a month. I've talked to a shit ton of people about it, some say mid-end june, some say velious.

I just hope they don't make it a retro nerf, I dunno if it was like that on classic, but its always cool to have items floating around that are one of a kind and no longer dropping. Makes owning one all the more interesting too.

Actually, as for the nerf of the item, it will be retroactive (if they follow live). As for when, no one knows.

Nilbog seemed pretty affirmative about it being a < 6 month after kunark launch nerf IIRC when it was discussed a month or so ago. Some creative forum searching should yield that post...

Yeah I've read that. Theres actually a massive thread about the robe, OP shoulda just searched it, w/e. They don't follow things exactly like classic on here, which is a good thing, not everything done on classic was right.

My guess is next patch going off Nilbogs comments in the other thread titled 'Robe of Living Fungus', which has been delayed heavily due to real world issues that some of the devs have dealt with (tornados ripping the shit out of their town).

yup.. second info in this thread. If we assume according to the live timeline then we are overdue for a nerf so give +/- a month or 2 for p1999 due to limited dev capacity and other RL issues the nerf should be coming soon(TM).

That said, it is going to be retroactive but given how cheap robes are now it's still an incredible value. 4k for basically self-PL for a month or more is awesome. And you can probably still dump it for a few hundred plat later.. it's not a terrible item by any means 10ac 12sta /shrug
