I was thinking of doing an Erudite cleric but a good faction one and I read that this can be MQ. I was wondering if anyone knew just how bad a faction hit it is when completing the quest. Will it make you KOS right afterwards or if you had really good faction already could you take the faction hit and still be ok?

I don't see why it would be an exceptional faction hit. I think it's just two regular faction hits for the two turn-ins involved in the quest, so prob -20. If you're not close to KOS, you'll be fine.
