How expensive will Kunark weapons and items be at launch?
 

So with Kunark right around the corner, it's easy to get giddy over things like Lamentation / GJB / yada yada. Many tradeable Kunark weapons blow classic raid items out of the water.

Certain people will undoubtedly be willing to pay a high premium to have items like these early on. It's fun to speculate on how crazy and volatile the market will be following launch as everyone clamors over one another and supply is initially very limited.

So... with that in mind, how expensive will Kunark goodies be in the first few weeks following launch? Are we going to see jade maces going for 10k plat or more? Staff of Battle going for 8k? Class armor sets going for more than rubicite?

Class armor pieces are better than rubicite, will be pretty pathetic if they aren't more expensive than rubi for at least a couple months (except maybe paladin pieces, so few paladins around).

GJB is funny. It will no doubt have a high-ish price at first, but will fall off a cliff soon enough because so many Kunark tradables are better. Same with Kunzar Ku'juch, tho it may hold value longer than GJB due to that nice snare proc.

Staff of Battle for 8k? Some greedy kid will probably ask that much, but why would anybody pay more than 1k? Ain't that hard to get. I suppose somebody will have more pp than sense tho.

The skeletal warlord spawn mechanics may cause some delightful forum questing.

they will sell for the amount the people want to buy them for. Just remember, you don't need those items week 1 of the server, hell even month 1. Let those with money spend way more than the item is worth, and buy them later after there are many on the market.

but in other news. WTB Torpor 300k

The real question is who will get a ton po staff, if anyone.

Torpor's been 100k-ish for years on blue, I bet the first couple on green go for > 300k.

There will always be a flux in prices when an expansion first launches. After a month or two, prices stabilize some and become more reliable.

@ Kunark Launch, you won't be able to buy many items. There are simply too many level 50's and level 50 alts breathing heavy for item drops.

You thought Blue was top heavy? Move over and green.

Torpor will be 275-325k for a right good while. In 2015 when blue was over five years old and blue Kunark was over four years old it still costed 180k. For the first few, you're gonna need about tree fiddy.
