Melee misses of any sort do not appear in my logs or chat
 

I checked thoroughly to ensure to the appropriate boxes were checked in chat filters. I have a chat window that filters melee hits and a chat window that filters pet hits, and "pet messages" is checked for the pet window and all other melee filters are checked for the other window. Yet no melee misses appear whatsoever in my log or any chat window. That is, my character/pet/an npc will perform the swinging animation, time will pass and no damage will be dealt, but I will receive no indication that there was a miss. This just started happening today, and I'm not sure what could have caused it. All other chat filters (like spells, say, ooc etc) are functioning fine.

In the Options under Filters, do you have My Misses or Others' Misses set to Hide?

yes. several things were set to hide for some reason. thank you
