It costs < 1k (because it drops like candy in Chardok 2.0), it's usable by eight different classes, and it has crazy good stats (because it was designed more for Luclin power levels than Velious ones). As a result, it feels like half of Blue's population is wielding the exact same yellow shield ... I see it everywhere! :mad:

Now full disclosure: both my halfling alts have the shield, because somehow I can tolerate it better at a smaller size. But even though it would be an upgrade for Loramin, I can't bring myself to do it.

Please devs, use your first round of custom content (someday) to save us from the SBS: give at least some of those eight classes a comparable shield with a different graphic!

It was already less than 1k long before Chardok 2.0 because so many were farmed during the heyday of Chardok AE L60 assembly line production.

Oh, I didn't realize it pre-dated 2.0. But that does help explain it better.

Your mistake not withstanding, I've felt for a while that chardok 2.0 feels out of place in the timeline. Its essentially a pre-luclin patch, almost a mini teaser expansion. I've gotten used to it, but it still just feels a bit off to see that stuff in circulation to me.

Really nice Cleric shield. Super tanky item. AC, saves and HP. What's not to love? Pity the poor Clerics who did not pump +WIS at creation and are forced to wield a Book of Obulus instead.

Great item, but greater item on any server but blue because of that Aoe, yea.

It will be the cool item it was meant to be on green again.
