Iksar Faction Question
 

Are Iksar KOS in Paineel? I would think they would be, but they worship the same god.

Iksar should be kos to all non-iksars. Starting out anyway.

this is a common misconception. I'm not sure about Paineel, but Iksars are dubious in neriak and I believe they can also enter Grobb.

That's pretty strange that Iksar are dubious in evil cities yet other evil races are KOS in Cabalis.

Aye, but true. In Neriak we are dub except to The Dead with which we are KOS. In Oggok we are dub to the citizens. However, we are KOS to at least the warrior guild and I suspect other guilds. And we are KoS to some bouncers (the ones in and around the bank particularly). I haven't journeyed far into Grob, I only got bound there. But we are definitely KOS to the bouncers.

Of course this effects monks less, so it hasn't been a big issue for me. I imagine necros can FD bank, but probably not use a merchant without some faction work.

Edit: btw, this is pretty much how I remember it on live too. People thought we were KOS everywhere because sony made a broad statement about us being hated outside of Cabilis, but it wasn't as harsh as people thought.

not really. iksar are pretty intolerant of all races hence cab is kos to all. evil races may look more at the religion side though and since iksar worship cazic, they are moe tolerant towards them

This is how I remember it also. So, I dunno where everybody is getting the Dubious to other evil races thing.

Some factions don't seem like they're correct, especially with Iksar.

Example: My gnome necro started out as threatening in Kelethin when I remember playing a gnome necro in live because it was the only combination that wasn't initially kos to Kelethin.

I believe in the classic era necros were supposed to be threatening to "good" factions, weren't they? Something from casters realm sticking out in my mind regarding that.

My point is that Iksars definitely gain an advantage by not being kos to all other races as they should be. full disclosure, I play iksar.
