How rare are Guardian Leggings?
 

Curious to hear from those who farm Skyshrine on the regular. How many mobs do you have to kill, on average, until you see a pair of Guardian Leggings drop? Which mobs drop them?

All the pieces are fairly rare, but not so rare that you won't have a bunch of rots you don't want dropping to taunt you.

It took killing 250 Guardians to get the legs on my Red99 bard. One or two of each of the other pieces dropped during that time.

hunting for 1 specific drop will make it feel more rare. There is a pretty even rareness to all those drops. I've killed a few hundred mobs when I was on giant factions but only got notably 2 Skyfury Scimitar
It was rather depressing.

I had two legs while getting my robe, took me 1350 kills, so around 600 kills I would say...

I cant imagine the pain farming that armor on blue99 would be like, doing that alone would be hell. Hell obtaining a full set in pug groups back on live when the zone was crowded was hard enough as it is, but alone? yeesh. Idk... sounds like quite a quest I guess. Wont be finished too quickly so I can get behind that!

The leggings aren't all that rare. You could reasonably expect to get them after a few sessions. Bracer and neckpiece have to be the most common, along with boots and gauntlets. Breastplate actually seems to be more rare than the robe. The ultra-rare has got to be the shield, if it's even on the loot table (never seen one drop or linked as rotting).

I think it's gonna take me another 10 years before I decide to farm any of those items. Yuck sounds like hell.

Lots of sapphires, garg eyes, velium bricks, and spells as vendor loot. Decent farm for melee classes if you can avoid the adds / dispel the drake hastes. Definitely should listen to an audiobook or something while doing it though.
