Continuing this Overthere thread....
 

So i have been testing this constant Overthere issue. I thought when i zoned in and crashed, that the game actually crashed.....but it doesn't. When i zone in and crash, the game is still running. I had a guild member stand next to me when i crash, i am able to cast spells, use jboots, move left/right, doesn't matter, in game i am there but on MY screen, the game is frozen.

I said in a previous post my PC is very new, top notch, all drivers are up to date, but all that aside this issue keeps happening. I tried the "fix" that this user suggested https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=351905, it did not help.

So even after altering my eqclient.ini file, (what was suggested), nothing works. Why would i be able to zone into Overthere, game crashes, others around me see me move, cast spells, use abilities etc, by on my end P99 is frozen solid?

It makes no sense. It's some effort but have you thought about running another character to OT? Or trying to zone into OT on a different account? See if either of those have an impact...and from there you can petition with your findings.

Does anything pop up in your Logs\dbg.txt file when this happens?

I get random screen freezes in different zones but, it seems like I get more of them in OT. I tried a new zone file but, it's still happening. Just went LD in air elemental form, non-kos by bank. Can't wait until I zone back in as a High Elf...

I had the game freezing problem similar to this. It wasnt a specific zone for me, it would happen in any zone and just randomly after 1-2 minutes. I did notice it was only happening to one specific character

Decided to delete that characters .ini files in the main EQ directory and let the game create new ones and it fixed the problem. Have not had a freeze since

No idea if this will resolve your issue, but could be worth a try if you havnt tried it already (Can just rename them and revert back if no change)
