Rain Caller quest was not fully implemented until October 1999
 

As evidenced in my post below from the Kedge thread, this quest was broken until late October 1999, after Kedge was finally itemized.

Specifically, based on the comments from the newsgroups, it seems Kinool Goldsinger did not offer the continuance of the quest until that time.

Curious if Princess Joleena was also added later because she serves no purpose ( drops no items ) other than a turn in for Rain Caller.

Just seems odd that a named fairy princess with placeholders would drop no loot in Classic Era ( esp with other named already in Lesser faydark that behaved differently, roamers vs static) so I would guess she was also added with the quest.
