Were you on Teal and now your UI/settings/Friends list reset?
 

I didn't see this already posted in Technical Discussion, and it's probably been posted but hidden in threads somewhere...

In your Everquest directory, there are two INI files with your character name and "Teal" in the filename. When you had to log in to Green for the first time with any of your characters from Teal, new files were created with "Green" in the filename with all default information. That is why your friends list is empty, your UI got reset, etc.

Using my character Yendor as an example, if they already exist and you haven't already done anything to fix them, delete (filenames are approximate, I am not in front of my computer right now):

UI_Yendor_P1999Green.ini
Yendor_P1999Green.ini

(If you haven't yet logged into Green with your Teal character, then the files above won't exist yet and you can start with the next step.)

Take your Teal files named similarly (they will have Teal in the filename instead of Green), copy and paste them, then rename to:

UI_Yendor_P1999Green.ini
Yendor_P1999Green.ini

You will have to do this for each of your Teal characters.

Thanks for this. Are custom UI skins no longer compatible? This fix worked to get defaults back (hotbars, etc.) but I can no longer load new skins they all revert back to velius default

My understanding is custom UI was disabled for both Green & Teal. Not sure how you had custom UI on Teal.

/loadskin was working before patch. Must have not been intended and fixed with patch.

I missed that teal got merged with green.. no wonder I couldnt find it on the server list tonight..

My very small friends list got reset, but I jsut added them when I logged into the Green server for the first time.
