rogue - back stab leveling
 

does back stab level up when using it from the front ? i guess ive never noticed myself getting a skill increase like this but per the wiki guide says you can use it like an extra swing? just curious - thanks folks.

You can't level up when using it from the front.

but, does it count as a stab? Do you do an extra bit of damage when using it from the front?

If done from the front it’s just one extra regular attack.

Aye, frontstab is just a regular piercing attack and a waste of the backstab timer.

Wait for an opening.

Also practice circle-strafing. A cleric who's happy with holy might (6-second stun) can give you an opening, for example. (I am one such cleric on green.)

If the mob is attacking you, walk through him then back up, you will have a window where you can BS him before he turns back to face you again. This is how solo rogues BS mobs all the time

Definitely have been doing this and have gotten quite good at it.
