i am currently an 11 rogue in EC. i haven't had much luck finding groups so am stuck killing blues and greens. i am trying to make plat to get gear that will let me fight white cons like kodiaks. what can i do, i had 100p but decided to skill up blacksmithing to the 80's. should i take that higher? right now my best source of income in rusty weapons and turning ruined skins into armor.

You really will never be able to fight white cons as a rogue beyond levels like 1-5.

Possibly moreso than any other class, rogues need other players to help them level up. You don't need a "group," though, at least not a tank+heal+dpsers groups. A necro or bard or sk partner, or even a druid or shaman or paladin or something, any duo/trio this lets you DPS mobs from behind, will be better than solo.

You can search RV vendors for honeycombs, or hunt bixies yourself, then there is the run from Oggok to EC where you convert rotting steins to 25-30pp. Or just buy one from a vendor for 8pp and resale it at 30pp.

Are you talking about the stein of moggok quest? If so, that requires way more than this, including trips to erudin and ocean of tears

Yup. Though I've seen raw honeycomb sell when enchanters are passing through looking for some.

You can also offer your services as a spear and shield ferrier or a Slaythe spawner.

Probably crude stein; it's averaging 30p on Teal and is on all the guards that bards and druids are killing en-masse. Lore, so they're often unlooted. And a nearby ogre vendor sells them.

Kill crusbone orcs turn in the belts you can level to 15 and he gives you a raw hide armor piece to sell.
