Error 1018 "Active Character" Please Kick Me?
 

Where do we go when we need to get a character force kicked from server so that we can log in and play due to this error? (I camped out properly).

I am currently being prevented from logging in on TEAL due to "Error 1018: You have an active character on that server. Please allow a minute for synchronization."

Could a GM please force boot/kick my character from the server please? It's been a few hours already and I just want to play.

Characters name is Stormwalker.

Maybe someone's logged on to your account

This happened once already about a week ago. I think I was able to login after 4 hours though. This time however, and at the time of this reply, I am STILL not able to login to my character. It has been over 12 hours now.

I had something similar to me happen like a month ago, but I left my character logged in on my work PC. Worst weekend ever!

I'm having the same problem. Error 1018. I haven't logged in on any other computers. I simply camped out of the game and I have not been able to log back in since. Is there any way to fix this?

Tried unplugging the internet from your computer and restarting?

If player A is logged into an account and player B tries to log into that same account, player A is kicked from the game back to the login server IIRC.

If you haven't shared your info (really good idea) then you know this highly unlikely.

So this issue is happening to me and I haven't played since this morning. I properly logged out and now can't log in due to this error. I logged in on another account to see if my toon was actually in game and when I did a search for the name, I get the "no one by that name online". Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?

I have fixed my problem. I reinstalled the patch 52b files and now I am able to log in. Don't know why but my issue resolved. Hope this helps.

How did you log on another account if you had a character in game?
