Conning a mob as it dies

[Fri Dec 13 11:02:03 2019] It is futile to consider the dead...

I don't think I've ever seen that message before. I got it when I tried to con something the instant it died but before I lost the target. If you con a corpse, it gives you the timer until it poofs. If you con a living mob, it gives you the con. If you con something that's basically in the process of keeling over, you get philosophy.

Corpse rot timers are not classic.

Hokojin 12-13-2019 12:45 PM

As far as I know it’s always given that con message

I recall that message from classic - in fact, I recall it much more clearly than corpse timers, which I think weren’t added until later.

Interesting.

When I said I didn't remember seeing it before, I wasn't thinking that it wasn't classic, just that it was something new to my memory.

I wonder if corpse rot timers are a client issue.

Well, the classic way of doing it was to /time the death and let people know 'manually', it was even a raid role.

Let's get it done :)

Astuce
