Yes. In classic you get a notification that it landed and a yellow notification that it wore off, that's it.

Honestly dot tick messages are not super helpful unless you are a neurotic min\maxer

While I agree that the damage numbers are useful, the ticking texts are certainly helpful for duration (if you do not keep GINA/timers). Obviously trivial, but certainly helpful.

Easier to track duration when you can visibly see the dot ticks, but also I don't mind that much that I can't see them either.
