Is anyone able to use a VPN to circumvent an employer firewall block on Eqemu servers

I can install the game and run fine on my work laptop, but when I'm at work on our wifi network and I log on the server list is completely empty.

I know this is probably due to windows defender firewall.

So I see it as two options. A. I can use a VPN to just bypass all that. Has anyone had luck with that?

Or b I could create open rules in the defender firewall since I can get admin access?

Anything worked for you guys? I usually have about 2 hours of complete downtime in the morning before actual work comes my way and everyone else I know just spends time on reddit or Facebook and I'd rather hang out in norrarh!

Or tether to your 4G phone connection. Its more than fast enough and the data throughput is minimal.

How does your employer feel about you using your own personal VPN on the company network?

Yes. I have been using PIA for last couple years. Solid application if you can install it on work pc & extnsion for chrome/firefox.

Private internet access? I can get admin access on my laptop so I guess I need to figure out how to isntall a VPN and see if I can get it to connect to EQEmu servers. I have downtime at my office job in the mornings like 8am to 11am so this would be so nice......

I don't think it would pose a problem.
