Anyone know how to solve this problem?
 

I use EQ in windows mode and this problem occures: When i opened programs like ventrilo or Java update - the EQ screen turns black and it wont go back to normal. Anyone know would cause this issue? I play a cleric and groups depend on me - don't wanna be the problem for exp loss thanks!!

Extra info that might be necessary: I use dual core - and have the wineq thing - but it occurs with or without it on - windows vista nvidia 460 gtx graphix

When this happens, try hitting Alt-Enter to toggle between Full Screen and Windowed mode. That clears it up for me usually.

Are you using a laptop?

Check your video card driver, make sure it's up to date.

If you're running any AV/Firewall software, disable it when you play. Run a cleanboot.

Not on Laptop, Videos drivers are up to date, no AV/firewall software on. Alt Enter thing works thanks for that but still lil bit annoying that the black screen happens.

Try clickin the fullscreen option, in well, options in eq?

I have the problem too. It just seems like when I use another game it goes black. I wanted to play some tf2 and or peggle while waiting for a spawn. Black screen. I can still hear myself moving around and jumping, but it's black. 4.0ghz quad. Windows 7 ultra 8 gig ram. Playing in windowed mode. Going fullscreen does not seem to help.

try setting the core affinity for eq? as in make it use only 1 core..... I had the same problems til i made the simple desktop shortcut that set affinity, and now i don't even need wineq.

If its a CPU core issue. look in my signature, my installer will set it up for you.
