Bard Kiting
 

Is Bard kiting still a thing for green? I'm considering making a bard and possibly doing that. If not that's ok I just want to ask before I try and it not be allowed.

I've come close to dying a few times because of stupid bards trying to kite in the newbie zones

There's a 4 mob AoE limit, so bards can quad, but that's it.

I don't know what happened to the guy who almost died in a newbie zone, but bards can damn sure kite around more than 4. They can only HIT 4 at a time, but there's no limit on agro. (Not sure why you would, except by accident)

Maybe he was kiting around a lot more, died, and the mobs went to random newb they'd passed by earlier and got proximity agro. <shrug>

Typically prox agro doesnt matter as long as they weren’t sitting and the proximity is good after the merb kills the other guy/is zoned. For example in oasis almost everyone runs when an sg is running by, but if you were not sitting down and it just ran by you, and you did nothing to it, if it kills the guy it was chasing or is zoned it will not “remember” other prox agro. 60% of the time this is 100% right.
