Crashing in Oasis and NRO

Anyone else having trouble in Oasis or NRO zones? I cant stay logged in these zones for more than 10 sec before my client goes No Response locked. All my other characters in other zones are fine. Green server.

ok this is odd. it seems to be just 1 specific character, regardless of zone. I was able to cross into EC and I am still crashing. No other character has any problems. Ideas?

having the same issue now on my only toon in EC area. NO idea why

If it's just EC (a zone with a large volume of /auction channel activity) make sure you're not redirecting chat channels to a chat window that's set to an invalid size. Once any text tries to write to an invalid window it'll crash your client.

backup the UI_Charname_green.ini and the Charname_green.ini files from your EQ directory and then delete them.

you should be able to login now. you will have to setup your ui again however.

I have terrible trouble with oasis. I can't get logged in there. If I zone into it, I freeze every time, then I have to start the 20 or thirty attempts to get back on. All other zones are fine.

I guess it doesn't really matter as I've deleted all the character specific files many times to try fixing it.
