Bash not working
 

I'm new to EQ, so I could be wrong here, but Bash isn't doing anything. I got the spell at level 1, and after a quick google search I found I needed a shield. I have a shield now, but clicking bash still doesn't do anything. No text in chat, no damage. Its showing that I'm clicking it, and it resets immediately, but thats about it.

I am assuming you mean Slam. At level 6 (if war/shad) you can train an ability called Bash. Bash and Slam share a skill and work with one another. Slam is just Bash, and if sham/rogue you have 1 Bash skill, which is shit for To Hit and damage. Using Slam with Bash trained skills up Bash and why Barb war and ogre/troll war/shad are superior to their counterparts because you can use Slam with a 2h.

Yes, you want slam on your bar/hotkey, not bash. it should show something like a backhand animation. I don't think you can gain any skill in it until whatever class you are playing normally learns bash, though.

FYI bash is put on your bar even if you cant use it until level 6 as a warrior Paladin and SK. Did you get to 6? If so, go to your trainer and put 1 point in it
