haha its not one of those, it actually switches. for a bit she is on her right foot spinning left, then it switches to her being on the left foot spinning right.

actually the graphic never changes. it depends on how you personally see it.

Quote:

If the foot touching the ground is perceived to be the left foot, the dancer appears to be spinning clockwise (if seen from above); if it is taken to be the right foot, then she appears to be spinning counterclockwise.

The illusion has been incorrectly[3] identified as a scientific personality test that supposedly reveals which hemisphere of the brain is dominant in the observer. Under this unproven interpretation, it has been popularly called the Right Brain–Left Brain test,[4] and was widely circulated on the Internet during late 2008 to early 2009.[citation needed] During this time it was established that the silhouette is more often seen rotating clockwise than counter-clockwise. According to an online survey of over 1600 participants, approximately two thirds of observers initially perceived the silhouette to be rotating clockwise. In addition, observers who initially perceived a clockwise rotation had more difficulty experiencing the alternative.[5]

she is always spinning clockwise for me unless i try REALLY hard for several minutes to get her to reverse directions in my brain. then i can make her reverse for several rotations but if i blink for a second then she is clockwise again. *shrug*

naez 04-14-2011 07:19 PM

in the first post it was clockwise

then in the second one it was counter

Cars 04-14-2011 07:20 PM

So what does it mean when she switched a few times for me without me trying?

naez 04-14-2011 07:30 PM

is real easy to do if you just look at the feet and roll your eyes

Swordsly 04-14-2011 07:34 PM

I call bullshit
she changes directions, no optical illusion. she just changes directions
