why a new server is neccesary? there is already one to play

because it's the whole point of the project
the server that you're playing on is basically a beta server for the one coming up

Why is a new post necessary? There are already threads to post in.

This server could use a split population, at least when it comes to the level 50+ zones/raids.

Because they can. All you need to know.

Firstly, as others have stated, that's the point.

Secondly, do you not think the server is currently overcrowded?

Third...it remains to be seen, but the new server could far exceed the population of Blue. Some people who no longer play will come back...some who currently play will switch over to Green...and some new people will arrive.

New day, whats wrong with the OLD day? Monday is fine. Tuesday is wack.

So no lifes can raid the same 20+ year old content 2x a week or more with earthquakes when they happen and completely and utterly bask in what once was. Its like how the kid who was a great athlete in highschool never shuts up about "the good old days" now that theyre 40, have a beer gut and are bald.
