Trying to get back into the game after a very long hiatus

I have that itch to play P1999 after like 5 years on inactivity. I have a level 30 rogue with a decent weapon but it would seem my friend who continued playing on this server for a couple years after stripped him of the rest of his gear. I am trying to figure out how I can get back into the game with a naked level 30. Any advice?
