Text log parsers are legal, but .....
Some text parsers offer more than what would seemingly allowed, e.g. GINA I believe has timers also built in. Is GINA an allowed parsing program, or not?

* OK really there are two rules; also: programs which read anything but logs are also banned, even if they don't affect the EQ software So GINA is perfectly legal because all it does is read the log files (legit) and show stuff on your screen separately from the EQ game (also legit). But the moment you hack your GINA to start pressing buttons for you in-game (or doing anything like that) you're cheating. |
If it is illegal then 90% of the playerbase is currently breaking the law!

Yep, gina is a mandatory raid tool on p99... What is illegal, as said are any third party soft that read status in any other way but the logs, or any software that do action in eq, that include smart keyboard with advanced macro or autofire...

Use Gina for timing your camps! And buffs! And FD fails! And so on!

GINA not classic. Use MQ2, it was co developed by p1999 staff which means it has great cross compatibility.
Getting banned for being caught using MQ2 is also classic. |
Eh, same with the 3rd party mapping program that reads /loc
kind of lame, but whatcha gonna do |
much thanks, all :)

You can do quite alot with a bit of python knowledge and log parsing on your own. Just sayin....
