What's best race and starting point spend for a mage?

Casual: 20 int 10str

Raiding: 25sta 5int

Pick whichever race you like looking at the most.

As a Mage min max , you want gnome , gnome can COTH without needing a shrink potion ( huge plat safe ) , can look thru wall and are very well balanced with gnome stats , recommend int/sta , you have access to tinkering if you ever make monk ( probes eyes )

gnome always for a mage, theres no other option due to coth mechanics

human eyepatch mage IMO.
